When is the campaign open?+−
Minting opens on 10 September 2026 and the deadline is 30 October 2026 at 6pm Lisbon, 2pm New York. The countdown ended on October 30. Holders can still adjust their name and image until Monday, November 2. Then the wall is frozen.
Is the NFT minted immediately?+−
Yes. Your NFT is minted once, at purchase. The freeze on Monday, November 2 then locks its image and details for good.
Can I transfer or resell my NFT?+−
Yes. During the campaign and after it, the NFT is a standard transferable token and can trade on secondary markets.
Can I edit my name, PFP or artwork after minting?+−
Yes. Holders can still adjust their name and image until Monday, November 2. Then the wall is frozen. Change your name, replace your PFP, or update artwork and briefs for Houses, Murals and the Flagship.
Who can edit after the NFT is transferred?+−
Editing rights follow the wallet that currently owns the NFT. If you sell it, the new owner can edit until the freeze.
What happens at the deadline?+−
The countdown ended on October 30. Holders can still adjust their name and image until Monday, November 2. Then the wall is frozen. At the freeze, editing closes: your latest approved name or image becomes the image of your NFT for good, it is stored for the long term, and the NFT is frozen. No second coat.
What can I submit for each kind of spot?+−
The Name accepts up to 15 characters. The PFP Wall accepts your PFP image. Houses, Murals and the Flagship accept artwork, production files or a creative brief after minting, from your edit page. NFC may reject offensive, illegal or rights-infringing content and request a replacement before the deadline.
Will the wall look exactly like my upload?+−
Close, but painted by hand. For PFP squares, our painter reproduces your image at 50 x 50 cm as a stencil with up to ten colours taken from it, with no detail smaller than 3 mm. Pixel art is painted pixel by pixel in its original colours. You see the result in the "On the wall" preview next to your image, and nothing to choose: the system recognises the image. Your NFT always keeps your original upload. The painted result may vary.
Is the wall on the website the real wall?+−
It's our current plan, shown as an indication. Your panel number and your position relative to the other names are fixed; the exact wall layout adapts to the venue. All 500 names will be hand-painted at NFC Summit 2027, and the real thing will look better than the website.
What happens after the physical wall is painted?+−
Your frozen NFT stays in your wallet as the lasting record of your panel and position. Every holder also receives their own
NFC Yearbook ↗, made with Alpha Labs: you collect autographs from November, recorded on-chain, and we hand you the printed book in Lisbon on May 27. It is a separate item, not a change to your NFT.
How many yearbooks do I get?+−
One per wallet. If your wallet holds several positions on the wall, you receive one yearbook, not one per position. The count is taken on April 1, 2027, when the books are sealed: if you transfer a position to someone else before then, their wallet gets its own yearbook.
Will the paintings remain after NFC?+−
That is the intention. The murals are painted on walls and structures at Unicorn Factory and are intended to remain visible after NFC. Previous works, including the XCOPY wall created with OpenSea and the Normies wall, are still in place. See the next question for what we can and cannot guarantee.
When will the paintings be removed?+−
We cannot guarantee how long each artwork will remain after the event, and we currently have no scheduled removal date. NFC guarantees that the artworks will be installed and visible during the event. They are expected to remain afterwards, but future construction, renovation, maintenance, decisions by the venue or local authorities, or other circumstances outside NFC's control could eventually affect them.
Can the walls or locations change before the festival?+−
Yes. The map and visuals show our current plan, agreed with the venue and the city. Between now and May 2027, works, refurbishments or decisions outside NFC's control may change which walls are available. What never changes: your number and your position relative to the other names. And what we guarantee: every name, PFP and artwork sold will be painted and visible at NFC 2027: on the planned wall, an equivalent wall, or a purpose-built painted structure at the venue.
Is my selected placement guaranteed?+−
What's guaranteed is your number and your position relative to the other names. Panel numbers were fixed when you bought and are never reassigned. The wall view on the website is an indication of our current plan: the painting itself adapts to the venue's real conditions (wall proportions, architecture, works, on-site constraints). If a planned wall becomes unavailable, your piece is painted on the closest equivalent surface (another wall, or a purpose-built painted structure at the venue), and NFC lets the owner know. Honestly: expect the real thing to look better than the render.
How is my name selected and painted?+−
You pick a panel, or use "Find me a place". Before the festival opens, a sign painter hand-letters your name in marker. Ink color and tilt are the painter's, not yours.
Can I choose my exact position?+−
Yes. All 500 panels are selectable. Positions go first come, first served.
What characters are accepted?+−
Up to 15 characters: letters A to Z, numbers, dots and dashes. Spaces become dashes. Block capitals fit the marker.
What's the difference between a ticket and a VIP ticket?+−
A ticket gives full access to NFC 2027, all three days. A VIP ticket adds the VIP areas, priority access and the VIP program. The tickets that come with your NFT can be claimed from January 2027: whoever holds the NFT then signs in with their wallet and names who comes. The Name includes 1 ticket · PFP Wall 2 VIP tickets · Community Houses 4 VIP tickets + 10 tickets · Artist Murals 8 VIP tickets + 20 tickets · Flagship 20 VIP tickets + 50 tickets.
Why "ON THE WALL"?+−
Because that's where everything ends up. 500 names, 50 PFPs, 4 houses, 2 murals and one flagship, minted on-chain and hand-painted on the walls of Unicorn Factory in spring 2027.
When and where is NFC 2027?+−
May 27 to 29, 2027, at Unicorn Factory, Lisbon.
Can I pay without a wallet?+−
Yes. Card and Apple Pay checkout is handled by Eventbrite. Our team paints your name and mints your NFT to the wallet you provide at checkout, delivered within 48 hours. No wallet yet? We'll email you to claim it later.
